Uniform & Standards

At The Willows School we understand that uniform can be overwhelming for students, but we also understand the importance of having a uniform in school for many reasons. We want to create a sense of belonging whilst being inclusive to all students and teach our students the importance of appearance, whilst ensuring that all of our students feel the same in school.

We have considered the needs of our children and have sought to find the least invasive and demanding uniform approach. Our uniform is Green and consists of the following:

  • A choice between a jumper, Cardigan or Hoodie

  • White polo shirt

  • Black/Grey trousers or joggers; skirt or shorts (not cycling shorts)

  • White t-shirt with black/grey joggers/shorts and pumps/trainers for PE and Active Citizens

  • Sensible, comfortable shoes

If specific items are required for Active Citizens (e.g wellingtons or waterproof jackets) parents will be made aware in advance. Ears are permitted to have one pair of studs for primary students, these must removed on PE days. Children in upper school are required to wear sensible ear studs and remove them for PE and outdoor education activities. Children may wear a watch to school but no smartwatches must not be connected to mobile phones. Fingernail varnish should be sensible and discreet.
